September 2010 eventsSunday 5th September - new teaching series
Today is the start of a 3 week series, "The Church I See...", following completion of the "Inspired" series.
Monday 6th September - Prayer Gathering, 7.30pm, The Haven
Tuesday 7th September - no Encounter. Life Groups meet as normal. No more Encounters in 2010.
Monday 13th September, 7.30pm or Friday 17th September, 10.30am - Freedom in Christ course
If you're a Christian and want to make a great investment into your faith, then the Freedom in Christ discipleship course could be for you. The course runs for 13 weeks but only costs £10 for the whole run, which includes two books. You can join up for either Monday's or Friday's.

Sunday 19th September - Seniors Harvest Tea, 4pm-6pm
Just £3, to be held in the Community Zone. Further information and bookings are available via the church office.
Tuesday 21st September or Wednesday 22nd September, Vision Night
Find out latest news on the Third Place Development, staffing updates and other key developments in Zion. Attend either Tuesday or Wednesday in the main auditorium.
Sunday 26th September - Back to Church Sunday
If you've not been to church in a long time, join us or another local congregation participating in this national initiative, to see what church is like - you'll be sure of a warm welcome!

October 2010 eventsSunday 3rd October - Connection lunch
If you are fairly new to Zion, this is a great opportunity to meet others, both new and established. Do let the Connections team (red lanyards) or church office know if you're planning to attend.
We will also be starting our new teaching series, "Too busy not to …’", where we will be looking at the fast pace of life and three important things that we can loose sight of in our faith.
Monday 4th October - Prayer Gathering, 7.30pm, The Haven
Saturday 9th October - Community action day
Join us and other Halesowen churches in serving the local community in gardening, litter picking, decorating and much more! Wear an old pair of jeans and bring some gardening tools! Previous days have brought much benefit to Halesowen residents and been well received. Sign up in the main auditorium during September.
Wednesday 20th October - Zion Golf Day
To be held at Swindon Golf Club, Swindon, Staffordshire. Only £32.50. Contact Dave Jones or Nigel Elliot via the church office for details.
Sunday 24th October - Baptism and Dedication service, 11am
Listen to the personal accounts of changed lives and support new parents as we pray for their children. The service will be followed by a bring and share lunch for all.
